ABOUT

"Music is the oil that keeps my engine running"

Hi,

Very nice to meet you! My name is Jessie, a 26 year-old singer-songwriter from Maasmechelen, Belgium.

It sounds a bit cliché but already at a very young age, I fell in love with music. I went to my local music school and immediately decided to pick up the guitar, which would be my main instrument during the first six years.

At the age of 16, I also started to take singing lessons. Encouraged by a great teacher, I not only became a trained singer, I was also allowed to explore my vocal abilities, discover challenging genres and finally finding my own voice.
To this day, you can still find me on a weekly basis at the academy of Music in Dilsen-Stokkem: playing piano, drums and of course singing my heart out.

In 2013, I co-founded Loxley Lane, the rock band in which I sing and play the guitar. Since the start, we managed to record two EP's with original songs, to win multiple competitions and to play about a hundred shows. Next to Loxley Lane, I frequently perform as a solo artist, singing my own songs as well as covers. From living room concerts to big audiences, I am always up for the challenge.

I always like to describe music as the oil that keeps my engine running. It gives me so much energy and joy and my biggest hope is that you will see it when you see me perform.

See you soon!

With love,
Jessie
